A TEACHER and her assistant have been convicted of assaulting a child who suffered leg bruises and rib injuries when they dragged him from a classroom.
Sandra Humphrey, 52, and Sharon Benton, 50, were sacked by a secondary school in Milton Keynes after the incident.

Humphrey, of Lincoln, and Benton, of Milton Keynes, used unnecessary force to restrain him.
They both got a six-month conditional discharge and £300 fines at the city’s magistrates’ court after a trial.
Speaking after sentencing, Investigating officer, Detective Constable Tejinder Sidhu of Thames Valley Police's Child Abuse Investigation Unit said: "Humphrey and Benton acted inappropriately by dragging the pupil from the classroom using unnecessary force.
"Thames Valley Police has worked closely with Stephenson Academy which has fully cooperated with the police investigation.
"Following the incident, the academy held an internal investigation and both members of staff were found to have committed gross misconduct and were subsequently dismissed.
"Thames Valley Police has also supported the victim and his parents throughout the investigation and court proceedings.
"Now the defendants have been convicted and sentenced, I hope the pupil and his family can now move on from this extremely distressing incident."
