Distrustful piece of equipment sparks emergency response

A distrustful piece of equipment has sparked an emergency response after police found a suspected bomb in #Bognor Regis on October 5th.

#Sussex #Police, West Sussex Fire Service, ambulances, and Bomb Disposal were in attendance to a "serious emergency" after a suspected bomb was found in Bognor Regis on #October 5th, 2021.


Bognor Regis's High Street was barricaded from the public amidst the incident.


According to someone on #Twitter, they were 'kicked out of Butlin's by Bomb Disposal amidst the threat'.


A spokesperson for #Stagecoach said: "Due to a police road closure, we are having to divert the Service 700, and Service 600 between the High Street in Bognor, and Hotham Park. Apologies for any inconvenience caused."


Police had responded to a report of a distrustful piece of equipment, suspected to be a bomb, in Butlin's Car Park on #Tuesday, October 5th, 2021.
