Firefighters swiftly responded to a blaze outside Peacocks, Littlehampton, earlier this afternoon.
The fire took firefighters quite a while to extinguish, West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service reports.
Residents suspect the building was intentionally set on fire. However, currently, there is no evidence to support residents' suspicions.
Sussex Police are currently investigating the cause of the fire, and they have urged residents to avoid the area until the investigation has finished.
No-one appeared to be seriously injured at the time the fire took place. However, this is not 100% certain.
