Fewer planes fly across Littlehampton

Updated: Apr 22, 2022

Fewer larger aeroplanes - belonging to major airlines - have been flying across the town over the past few days, according to Flightrader24.

A majority of the aeroplanes that have been flying across the town over the past few days are smaller airlines' planes, including: easyJet, Ryanair, and private jets from Brighton City Airport.

Most of British Airways' aeroplanes have turned off from Portsmouth Harbour towards Heathrow Airport instead of flying across Littlehampton, and this is unusual. Their aeroplanes have been flying across the town less frequently than usual with easyJet being the most common airline to fly their smaller planes over the town. I, too, have noticed less British Airways aeroplanes, and I have noticed more easyJet planes than any other airline.

Airlines seem to be flying their aeroplanes in a different direction to usual and are avoiding Littlehampton, I have noticed. I am hoping that more aeroplanes will begin flying over our town again soon so that I can see more planes. I love plane spotting and taking photographs of aeroplanes.
