Mayor turns on the Christmas lights with her daughter (video)

The Mayor of Littlehampton turned on the High Street's Christmas lights with her young daughter and Councillor Billy Blanchard Cooper yesterday at around 7pm last night.

Enormous crowds gathered up and down the High Street to enjoy some late night shopping, eat or drink from the stalls and cafes, and wait for the Mayor of Littlehampton to switch on the Christmas lights with her young daughter. Michelle's daughter was referred to as "future madam mayor".

Many people were flocking to any shops or stalls on the High Street, some were even "going crazy" with their shopping and spending what seemed like billions of pounds.

Most of the attending families sung a 'happy birthday' to a young boy called "Cameron" after Michelle Molloy and Billy Blanchard Cooper asked "is there any birthdays" and encouraged others to sing for any birthday boys or girls at the event.

The Town Mayor proudly turned on the lights and had residents in the crowd cheering excitedly.

Michelle urged residents to "be good to stay on the nice list".

After the Christmas lights were turned on, crowds began to head away either back to their cars or homes.
