Plane spotters struggle to see aeroplanes today

Today's cloudy weather has prevented plane spotters/photographers from seeing or photographing aircrafts in the skies of West and East Sussex.

Aeroplanes in the skies of West and East Sussex could not be seen by plane spotters/photographers from down on the ground amid today's cloudy weather. This is because most of the planes were above the clouds, not below them. Aeroplanes could be heard flying in the sky, but they couldn't be seen from the ground.

The weather made it impossible for me — Dwayne Hards, LCN's founder and an independent journalist, a 14-year-old boy, and a keen plane spotter/photographer — to take pictures of aeroplanes in the skies of my hometown, Littlehampton, earlier today amid the dark clouds in the sky, and I couldn't even see any planes flying up in the air; however, the odd aircraft that I did see appeared to be blurry and wasn't visible for long because of the dark clouds.

Fewer aeroplanes were flying across West and East Sussex today and yesterday, according to Flightrader24. Less aeroplanes were coming from Gatwick Airport today and yesterday, meaning fewer planes were flying across Sussex over the past couple of days. However, the few aeroplanes that were flying across the county could not be seen today or yesterday amid the dark grey skies and cloudy weather. I, too, struggled to see any aeroplanes up in the skies because of the dark grey clouds.

I would like to thank Flightrader24 for their amazing service which is helping me track aeroplanes and keep updated on the amount of aircrafts in the sky.
