Parkrun volunteers - who came from all over the country - appeared to enjoy taking part in their weekly Saturday run along the Littlehampton promenade earlier this morning.
People came all the way from Manchester and many other UK towns and cities to take part in today's parkrun.
Runners were offered light refreshments — including cakes, drinks, and many other snacks.
Runners are, and were, warned not to spit, injure pedestrians, or breach the rules. If runners do break the parkrun rules, they may have their memberships suspended or restricted.
Anyone wishing to participate in the weekly parkrun can do so for free by registering; to do this, please click here. All are welcome to register and join in; however, those wishing to take part will need to bring a copy of their scannable barcode as proof of membership, according to parkrun.
Parkrun is run by friendly volunteers, not paid staff.
The parkrun takes place every Saturday at 9am.
Running is good for your physical and mental health, according to the NHS.
