A strange weather phenomena has been spotted above the skies of Shoreham.
Pam Savidge said she saw the funnel cloud out her bedroom window.
The 50-year-old surveyor added: “It was quite long. It wasn’t something you really expect to see here. It was quite a big one.”
Funnel clouds or ‘tuba’ are extending, spinning fingers of cloud that reach towards the ground, but never touch it, the Met Office said. When they do reach the ground they become a tornado.
The Shoreham resident said she was surprised to see the ‘unusual’ cloud but relieved it didn’t escalate into a tornado.
