An alcoholic paedophile has been sentenced to fourteen years imprisonment after he raped a teenage girl in his home.
Victor Thompson has been found guilty of sexual abuse towards a teenage girl, 13, after she helped him carry his shopping home.
The man locked the girl in his house and began his sexual abuse towards her, saying "if you tell anyone, I will set you on fire".
The thirteen year-old girl told police "that she didn't know whether she would make it out alive".
The judge, who sentenced Thompson, said: "The abuse was wicked, cruel, and brutal."
Thompson was aided by the victim with his shopping, then he locked the girl inside his house and abused her.
The man called his sickening actions "a mistake" despite him knowing that the girl was under the legal age of consent and she told him to 'stop'.
The man was put behind bars for fourteen years, ten of those are said to be in custody.
The attack happened on #April 18th, 2021.
A prosecutor for the victim's case said: “The defendant appeared to be struggling, so she offered to help and take his shopping to his house nearby.”
The victim walked into Thompson's home to drop off his shopping, however, he locked the door, and when she sat down, he started to kiss her despite her pleas to leave the abuser's home.
The abuser also forced the underage girl to drink cider and offered her a cigarette.
When the victim managed to escape, she flagged down a stranger for help and used his phone to dial 999 for the #police.
The abuser was arrested shortly after the emergency call was made.
The by passer said: "The girl was crying and appeared to be in shock."
