Comment & Analysis: London's Met clamp down on knife crime — and so should other UK police forces

Updated: May 26, 2022

The Metropolitan Police Service and its officers have, in my opinion, done an amazing job at removing weapons — such as guns and knives — from London's streets.

The Met's recent crackdown on knife crime has, without a doubt, saved many lives, and this is why the rest of the country's police forces should follow suit and hold knife-carrying criminals to account.

Knife crime destroys lives, so leave your weapons where they belong — in your kitchen drawers, not in your bags or joggers.

Congratulations, Metropolitan Police!
