Comment & Analysis: Young journalist receives 30-day Facebook ban — again

I — Dwayne Hards, aged 14 — have been slapped with a 30-day Facebook ban for calling UKIP far-right Christian morons.

I'm currently on my 21th day of the ban, and I have 9 days to wait until it's lifted, according to Facebook.

Banning someone on Facebook for having their own opinions, particularly if they're true, is undemocratic and possibly fascist. This is because the far-right and far-left extremists' way of ending an argument is censoring the opposition — and that's what Facebook have done by banning me for criticising far-right politicians.

We live in a democratic country, so we should be able to have our own points of view and opinions without being censored — unless those incite hatred; for example, the capitol riots in the USA.

I appealed the Facebook ban, and they rejected my appeal. This ban is a joke and potential fascism, in my opinion.

Freedom of speech and expression works both ways — and so does personal liberty and freedom of choice.
