Councillors met up in the Town Council offices earlier this evening and discussed their different viewpoints in a calm, respectful, and professional manor.
A young Journalist, I sat at the press table and observed the Council meeting until it was time for me to leave — which was around 50 minutes after it had started. And, shortly after I was seated, several councillors sat in their respective seats, and some of them even greeted me in a way that made me feel welcome. They calmly debated their ideas and opinions, and everyone treated eachother with dignity and respect in accordance with the Town Council regulations and the meeting rules.
The Littlehampton Town Council offices are councillors' go-to place where they can meet up and discuss their views with their fellow councillors and the Town Mayor. In the Council-owned building, the rooms were quite tidy and well looked after.
