Dwayne Hards, LCN's founder, was on a walk at around 6:30am this morning and said he could smell a strong, unpleasant odour coming from the pumping station next to the Wave.
The reason for pumping stations stinking of wastewater is usually because of a build-up of fatbergs, oils, and grease when they aren't maintained properly, according to a Pumping Solutions article.
This site has been causing a smell for a long time, according to Dwayne.
Southern Water have got a reputation for dumping raw, untreated sewage into our oceans and have been fined £90,000,000 for doing so.
