Hundreds of volunteer runners took part in the community run with some travelling all the way from Surrey and a few other counties, according to a parkrun coach.
Runners were told that they did not have priority over other pedestrians and to be mindful of them. They were also told not to cheat and advised not to spit.
The Littlehampton parkrun takes place every Saturday and all are welcome (except under 4s) regardless of their running pace, according to their website. However, those who choose to take part must register only once and bring a copy of their scannable membership barcode.
Some teenagers and children also took part in the community run, not just adults.
Parkrun is managed entirely by volunteers.
