Scholarships have been offered to year-10 students attending a #Worthing school, 'Our Lady Of Sion Junior #School'. These have been offered to year-10 students whom have struggled with their mental wellbeing, and education during the #Coronavirus #pandemic.
Many of these students have struggled with their mental wellbeing during the current situation. Others have struggled with their self-esteem, and have missed out on some of their 'vital' education.
The scholarships were offered to year-10 students attending the school because many are struggling with their mental health, self-esteem, a lack of confidence, and returning back to 'normal' classes. A majority of the pupils are nervous about returning to their big classes for their #GCSES.
The headteacher of Our Lady Of Sion School, Steven Jeffery, said: “The whole point is really a response to what has happened in the last year. And to be able to offer something like this, I am absolutely delighted."
“If we can help more children reach their goals, then that is terrific.”
A Sion School spokesman added: “Sion knows their students very well, and works tirelessly to strengthen confidence, and empower every child to reach their own exceptional outcomes."
“This scholarship is for bright, motivated students with the authentic care, and support that Sion can deliver."
“The school’s fees are highly competitive, and may well be more affordable than one would think. With this new scholarship, the aim is to offer further opportunities to those students who have been troubled by the experiences of the past year.”
