School forced into lockdown after student seen with knife

A teenager was arrested at Durrington High School after staff saw her in possession of the weapon, Sussex Police said.

Students followed the School's lockdown procedure, and no injuries were reported. Officers are still investigating the incident and will take the appropriate action.


Possession of an offensive weapon is a serious offence and can see offenders jailed for up to four years, face unlimited fines, or both upon successful conviction in court.
