The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for England with high winds expected across the southern part of the UK.

Areas along the south coast can expect gusts of up to 60 or 70 miles per hour. The wind should lessen as it heads inland.

People are advised that travel could be affected with delays on the roads and public transport. A yellow warning for wind also brings the risk of power cuts.
