The Jurisdictionional Boundaries Procedure (JBP)

This policy exclusively applies to any of our services and does not apply to any other platforms.

Different countries have different laws and regulations, and everyone knows this. And, although our reporters are unlikely to be reporting in other countries, they may still do so (on LCN) under this policy with only one exception: they follow the laws of whichever country/jurisdiction they happen to be in. For example, when any of our reporters are reporting in the UK, they must follow the laws of the UK; they must also abide by any slight legal differences in whichever part of the UK they happen to be in — England, Scotland, Wales, Jersey, or Northern Ireland. Our reporters must also follow any bylaws — such as leaving a council meeting when instructed to do so — of any counties, towns, or cities they happen to be in. LCN reporters must also abide by the journalism laws of other countries if they happen to be within their respective jurisdictions.

Not only are our reporters legally obliged to follow the laws of the jurisdiction/area they happen to be in, they're also expected to do so under our own policy (JBP); failure to do so is a breach of our terms and may result in those in breach of the law being dismissed or sanctioned (if necessary).
