The Sussex Police & Crime Commissioner, Katy Bourne, wished PC Tom a speedy recovery and her best wishes. Many other Twitter users also wished PC Tom a speedy recovery.

PC Tom caught COVID at a bad time as he also has tonsillitis, meaning it may affect him more.

People who test positive for COVID-19 are advised by the World Health Organisation (WHO) to isolate for 14 days, according to the WHO website.

Hopefully, PC Tom will make a speedy recovery.
