  • How to take care of a Beagle

Beagles need plenty of care and are known as hunting dogs as they were bred to hunt down deer and rabbits. Caring for a Beagle includes many similar responsibilities as caring for any other dog, however, there are differences. Most importantly, it is crucial to take your Beagle to the vets to get their vaccinations and regular check-ups to prevent bacterial and viral infections as well as discovering potential health problems. Beagles should be fed a nutritional, dry, and regulated meal. Beagles will eat for England if food is left out for them so it is important to feed them only the appropriate amount, not an all they can eat buffet. Bins should be sealed to prevent your dog(s) from eating out of the trash. Beagles need a minimum of one hour's exercise per day. Beagles should be walked regularly to keep them exercised, happy, and healthy. It is also important to secure your garden so that your dog(s) cannot escape. Beagles hardly ever need washes unless they get themselves covered in faeces or dirt. However, their ears should be cleaned with cotton and ear cleaner at a minimum of twice a week. Their nails should be trimmed by you or a vet once a month. Beagles are knows for barking when left alone or even with you. If your dog(s) bark excessively, you should seek advice from a vet.

  • Don't buy animals as Christmas gifts

Animals should not be given as a Christmas or birthday gift - especially not as a surprise - because would be owners will likely not be ready to take on the lifelong commitment of owning an animal. A high majority of people see buying animals during Christmas or birthdays as "irresponsible". Some children are not able to understand, due to their level of maturity, how to treat animals so may hurt them unintentionally and, once hurt, their pet may be seriously injured or worse. Every December, three animals are thrown out into the cold, according to a 2010 article from The Guardian. A majority of animal shelters, pet stores, and breeders will refuse to sell animals to customers within their chosen time before Christmas and will only continue doing so after the festive season has finished.
