  • Comment & Analysis: I'm attracted to boys

I - Dwayne Hards - am a gay 14-year-old chavvy boy, and I'm proud to admit it. I discovered that I was gay a few years ago and that I only have feelings for boys, not girls. I have told most of the people who I have met down here, and they didn't judge me; instead, they were understanding and supportive of who I am. I have found my hometown — Littlehampton, West Sussex — to be accepting and understanding of my sexuality, and I'm happy to live somewhere where I'm not judged or bullied for who I am. If someone bullies me because of my sexuality, I will just tell them to fuck off; however, this hasn't happened yet, and I don't think it's likely to either. After all, we do live right next to the gay capital — Brighton, East Sussex. I have always been open about my sexuality, and most people have been accepting of who I am. It would be nice to hang out with teenagers my age in Littlehampton, and I'm hoping this will happen soon. I moved to Littlehampton about a year ago (December 2020). I would like to thank the people and visitors of West and East Sussex for being accepting of who I am.

  • British Airways resume flying over Littlehampton

Pilots are now flying their British Airways aeroplanes across Littlehampton - West Sussex - again, according to Flightrader24. Previously, pilots were not flying over Littlehampton; instead, they were turning off at Portsmouth Harbour to get to Heathrow Airport. However, they have now resumed flying over Littlehampton, meaning I can continue with my hobby — plane spotting. There still aren't many British Airways aeroplanes flying across Littlehampton; however, there are more of them flying across the town now than there were before. Smaller easyJet aeroplanes and small private planes are the ones that I see most of the time.

  • Littlehampton seafront almost empty this afternoon

Today's poor and cloudy weather meant that hardly anyone had visited the seafront or beach earlier this afternoon. The few people who were on the seafront appeared to enjoy their afternoon visit.

  • Comment & Analysis: Piers Morgan acts like a child

When Piers Morgan doesn't agree with something he hears, he throws a tantrum and runs away from the discussion. Piers Morgan is like a toddler because, when he doesn't get what he wants, he can't even have a sensible discussion without throwing a tantrum and storming off. We live in a democracy, and we should be able to have a sensible discussion; however, Piers doesn't seem capable of this. Piers Morgan's "normal" way of behaving is to storm off when he doesn't like what he's hearing, and he needs to grow up and behave like the fully grown man he is. How can Piers Morgan criticise other people when he acts like a 14-month-old toddler? I, personally, don't believe he has a right to because it's hypocritical. Piers Morgan is just a weak man who has no arguments and lacks the ability to have a mature and grown-up discussion. He just runs away like a scared bully when someone wants to talk to him. Many people believe Piers is a bully. Do you like Piers Morgan, or do you despise him? Please let us know your thoughts by emailing or messaging us.

  • Fewer planes fly across Littlehampton

Fewer larger aeroplanes - belonging to major airlines - have been flying across the town over the past few days, according to Flightrader24. A majority of the aeroplanes that have been flying across the town over the past few days are smaller airlines' planes, including: easyJet, Ryanair, and private jets from Brighton City Airport. Most of British Airways' aeroplanes have turned off from Portsmouth Harbour towards Heathrow Airport instead of flying across Littlehampton, and this is unusual. Their aeroplanes have been flying across the town less frequently than usual with easyJet being the most common airline to fly their smaller planes over the town. I, too, have noticed less British Airways aeroplanes, and I have noticed more easyJet planes than any other airline. Airlines seem to be flying their aeroplanes in a different direction to usual and are avoiding Littlehampton, I have noticed. I am hoping that more aeroplanes will begin flying over our town again soon so that I can see more planes. I love plane spotting and taking photographs of aeroplanes.

  • Comment & Analysis: Stop criticising us young chavs for not voting

Older people and dorks/nerds are criticising us young chavs for not taking part in the political lies, but why don't they ask the question why instead of accusing us of "laziness"? The dorks/nerds and older people, who vote and follow the "rules" and system, are almost always shat on by the people who they elect, so it's not really a wonder why most of us young/rebellious chavs just stay out of politicians' lies. Us chavs ignore politics because we see how it works out for the older people and dorks who vote and take part in the political bullshit, so stop calling us "lazy" when it's you lot, old people and dorks, who just get shat on while following the system and liars' "rules". The voters and dorks are always miserable/complaining, and the young and rebellious chavs are always having fun. Shock horror! The only people who were shocked about UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson's parties are the UK's voters and lockdown-loving tyrants who were somehow surprised that their elected "hero" let them down, and this just goes to show what a negative impact counting on politicians (liars/goons) and the system has on people's lives and mental wellbeing; this is why us young chavs stay out of the lies, not because we're "lazy". Doesn't it say it all how these dorks care about a party but not damaging, unethical, tyrannical, and illiberal "mandates"? Dorks and older people tell us young chavs to "not dare complain about who gets in", and my response to that is we don't care because we don't follow the system anyway; the feds can't arrest us all. This usually makes the dorks and voters furious; however, I couldn't care less, so they can shut up. I will, however, admit that our young chavs could, and should, spoil the ballot because this would signal that most of our generation hates all of our political parties. I don't kiss anyone's ass, and I am brutally honest towards everyone.

  • Littlehampton seafront jammed

The return of the warm summer weather saw hundreds of beachgoers - mostly elderly - flock to the seafront earlier this afternoon to enjoy some time on the beach or a walk along the promenade. The Littlehampton coastal train, which runs along the promenade, had dozens of customers using its service earlier today, meaning they were making lots of money. The seafront's visitors appeared to enjoy their time out on the beach this afternoon.

Today is expected to be mostly sunny with most clouds fading away later this morning, according to the Met Office. No showers are expected today, especially not this afternoon. The highest temperature the town is expected to reach today is 19°C, meaning today should, hopefully, be a warm day. Today will, however, be slightly windy in Littlehampton, especially along the seafront. Tonight may be a cold night with clouds expected and the lowest temperature being just 5°C. Winds are also expected tonight with a slim chance of frosts. I would like to thank the Met Office for their information which helped me write this article.

  • When to use a comma before and, or, so, or but

A conjunction is a word that is used to connect two sentences without using a semicolon or a full stop. You should always use a comma before certain conjunctions — including and, or, so, or but — if you are using them to connect two independent sentences as long as it makes sense to your readers. You should always use a comma before and when it connects two independent sentences; for example, I went to the bar, and I bought myself a lemonade. You should always use a comma before and in situations similar to this because you are using the conjunction — and — to connect two separate sentences. However, you should not use a comma before and if you aren't using it to connect two separate sentences; for example, I went to the bar and bought myself a lemonade. You should always use a comma before or if it connects two independent questions; for example, would you like to go to the cinema, or would you like to go to Gatwick Airport? You should always use a comma in situations similar to this because you are using or to connect two separate questions However, you shouldn't use a comma before or if it isn't being used to connect two independent questions; for example, would you like to go to the cinema or Gatwick Airport? You should always use a comma before but if it is being used to connect two separate sentences; for example, I like you as a friend, but I don't like you romantically. You should always use a comma in situations similar to this because you are using but to connect two separate sentences. However, you should not use a comma before but if you aren't using it to join two separate sentences; for example, learning is difficult but incredibly rewarding. You should always use a comma before so if it is being used to connect two separate sentences; for example, I wanted a new Nike bag, so I went to JD Sports to buy one. You should always use a comma before so in situations similar to this because you are using so to connect two separate sentences. However, you should not use a comma before so if you aren't using it to connect two separate sentences; for example, I hopped on the 700 bus to JD Sports so that I could get myself a new Nike bag. You can use a semicolon instead of a conjunction if your intentions are clear to your readers. You can also use a full stop instead of a conjunction as long as your intentions are clear to your readers, but you will need to use a capital letter for the first letter of each sentence; however, this capital letter rule does not apply with semicolons.

  • Driver crashes into car and drives off

An unknown driver has driven into a Littlehampton dad's car - which was safely parked - without stopping. The incident happened outside of the Boots Pharmacy on Finisterre Way, Littlehampton, at around 12:30pm earlier this afternoon. A driver has crashed into a Littlehampton dad's car, severely damaging his car door. The driver didn't even pull over to the side of the road after the collision, meaning he/she has committed a road traffic offence under section 170 of the Road Traffic Act 1988, as well as a separate offence of criminal damage. Not stopping after a collision is an offence and is called a "hit and run" under UK law. The incident left the dad — who was already suffering with anxiety, stress, and family issues — severely distressed, causing him to have a panic attack when he got home to his son, wife, and cat. The dad said the incident "came as a shock and was completely unjustified". His family were "furious" with the driver. The dad has contacted his insurance company, and they are contacting Boots to try and obtain CCTV footage of the hit and run so that they can prosecute the offender; however, the driver is likely to get away with the incident if no footage can be obtained as the dad wasn't in the right state of mind to get the car's license plate, and his wife was in the Pharmacy at the time the incident took place. If anyone has any footage or information which may help the dad identify the driver or obtain evidence of the hit and run, please email LCN. Please drive safely; more importantly, always avoid crashes if you can, and if you do crash, always pull over.

  • Comment & Analysis: Here's why you should stand up to bullies

Reacting aggressively towards bullies shows them that you will stand up for yourself and others. Although some people — including some older people, teachers, snakes (snitches), and teachers' pets — won't admit that punching a bully in the face will probably work, kids and teenagers fight all the time, and it's a normal part of growing up; therefore, the police are unlikely to get involved as this would not be in the public interest. Most importantly, you are unlikely to be bullied again if you react. Reacting to bullies will probably deter them from continuing with their behaviour. Reacting to bullies will also make them think twice before bullying you or someone else in the future because they will know that you aren't afraid to stand up for yourself or others. While you may get into some trouble with your school (or place of education) for reacting aggressively towards a bully, the police are highly unlikely to get involved, especially if you're a young person. You are unlikely to be bothered by the bullies in the future if you react, according to people who have stood up to them. Bullies are terrified of being stood up to, so standing up to them will likely deter them from bullying anyone else anytime soon. If you don't stand up to a bully, then they'll think they can bully others who are weaker than you. If it's ok for a bully to pick on you, then it's ok for you to pick on them. Respect and loyalty works both ways. This is fair, in my opinion. I would strongly encourage the victims of bullying to react and tell someone they trust; for example, a friend or family member, a teacher, or a councillor. Doing this will help them express their feelings and may even get the bully into trouble with their school or place of education. After the difficult and challenging time we have all endured, please treat yourself and others with respect, and be a loyal broski/g/bro/friend/mate. Loyalty is the best policy.

  • Comment & Analysis: Putin is a war criminal, and he must be stopped

Russian President Vladimir Putin has committed serious war crimes against the Ukrainians, and it's about time that we stop him and his army of thugs from invading Ukraine and hurting its citizens. Many Ukrainians — including vulnerable and disabled children, women, and men — are being seriously injured, sexually assaulted, and murdered on their own streets by Putin's army of thugs. The Russian Government appears to be getting away with it all, according to most of society. The Russian people are being fed untruthful propaganda and lies by their state media; therefore, they are unaware of what the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, is doing to the innocent Ukrainian people. If Russia's citizens were aware of how Putin is treating the people of Ukraine, then there would likely be a civil war. The argument for countries stopping Putin by force is that he needs to be held to account, and this is true; however, this would likely result in a world war, so our governments need to balance out risks and safely hold Putin to account. Another risk of stopping Putin is larger countries — including India, China, North Korea, and a few others — taking offence to governments standing up to the war criminal, Russian President Vladimir Putin. Why would some countries take offence to Putin being held to account? Because they obviously support a war criminal. What will it take for governments to stop Putin by force, and when will he be held to account? Please email us with your thoughts and views on the war in Ukraine.

  • Ambulance delayed by a level crossing

An emergency ambulance - which had its blue lights and sirens on - was forced to wait for around 5 minutes at Roundstone Level Crossing earlier this morning. Copyright: Dwayne Hards. Traffic, including the ambulance, had to wait for an unusually long time for four trains to pass the Crossing, and this long wait may have risked a life (or lives). However, hopefully, the ambulance got to its destination fast enough to help or transport the patient(s). It is unusual for four trains to pass the Roundstone Level Crossing at once, so they were probably late. It can be dangerous, or even deadly, if an emergency vehicle is delayed because every second counts and matters in an emergency.

  • Here's why you should think twice before you carry a knife

Knife crime is injuring and killing endless amounts of people - mainly youths - across the UK and is destroying their families. If you decide to carry a knife, you are more likely to be seriously injured or even killed with your own weapon; for example, Murder Victim Devoy Stapleton was murdered with his own knife back in 2018. You are three times more likely to be injured with your own weapon, according to a First Aid for Life article. If you are caught carrying a knife, you will be arrested on the spot by police. After you have been arrested, you may be taken to court where you can face up to four years imprisonment and/or an unlimited fine. If you kill someone with the knife, you are looking at a potentially lifelong jail term. Police are not obliged to let first-time offenders off with a simple caution for possession of a bladed article. Do most people carry knives? No. Most people do not carry knives, and this is a common myth. Only a small minority of people carry weapons; in fact, only cowards carry weapons because they're too scared to use their fists in a fight. Knife crime is not just a problem in big cities or between gangs; it's an epidemic across the whole of the UK, and it affects everyone; however, you can do your bit by sharing this article and putting your knife down (if you carry one).

  • Life: I would love to travel on an aeroplane soon

I — Dwayne Hards, LCN's founder and an independent journalist, a 14-year-old boy, and a keen plane spotter/photographer — love all forms of public transportation, and I wouldn't mind taking a trip by air soon. I haven't been on an aeroplane for around six years, but I would love to be up in the sky right now because I love public transportation, especially larger aeroplanes. The bigger the aeroplane, the happier I am. It doesn't look like I will be flying on an aeroplane for quite a long time because we have all endured a tough pandemic, meaning flights aren't running as they normally would. This is difficult for me because of my ADHD. If I had the chance to fly on an aeroplane, even for two days straight, I would be sprinting out of my front door to Heathrow or Gatwick Airport before you could count to three; however, this is unlikely to happen any time soon amid COVID-19 and my lack of money to do this. I love aeroplanes, and I am looking forward to my next trip on one. Hopefully, it will not be too long until I`m flying in the sky and looking out of my round aeroplane window. If you are taking a trip by air anytime soon, please email LCN to tell us how your flight went and how your holiday or trip was so that we can write an article about it. We have all endured a tough pandemic, so please respect yourself and others, and be a decent and loyal person who makes a positive difference to others' lives. This will make you and others feel better. Kindness is essential.

  • Young Writer: How just a little exercise can help your mental health

Just a little or long walk, run, or jog can help your mental health because being out in the fresh air can really help, and walking is good for your body and mind. Littlehampton beach is a lovely place to walk or run because you have got the sea and shops, Harbour Park, and a variety of cafes to get a nice hot or cold drink from. When on your walk, just relax and forget everything that is happening at home because it can help when you are feeling low. Littlehampton is also good because it has many cheap activities for families with children. Young Writer Lewis Teyhan, a resident of Wick, wrote this article for Littlehampton Community News, so our founder, Dwayne Hards, has decided to award him with a creative writing award (look above).

  • Ed Sheeran wins court hearing

A famous singer - Ed Sheeran - and two of his songwriters were taken to the UK's High Court over unproven allegations of "multiple copyright violations" - but Judge Zacaroli ruled that there was no intentional breach of the accuser's legal rights, dismissing the case. Singer Ed Sheeran and two of his songwriters were accused of using Artist Sami Chokri's lyrics from his song, Oh Why, for their song, Shape of You; however, the case was dismissed as no intentional breaches of Sami's legal rights could be proven in court. The Famous Singer, Ed Sheeran, said he suffered with his mental health during Sami's lawsuit. The Judge, Zacaroli, ruled that Ed Sheeran and his songwriters did not steal any of Sami's lyrics, and the case was dismissed. Mr Sheeran slammed Sami's lawsuit, saying accusations like this are "damaging to the songwriting industry". He added: "I`m not a corporation; I'm a son, human being, and father who has feelings." It seems like the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer. Sadly, this is how the courts seem to work in the UK and USA, and most people don't appear to agree with rich people filling their pockets and poorer people losing out.

  • Helicopter circles National Park

A Royal Air Force - UK Army - Chinook was hovering over the South Downs National Park at around 15:30pm earlier this afternoon, according to Flightrader24. The Chinook was consistently flying around the South Downs National Park, and I am not aware of the reason for this. The helicopter showed up as an aeroplane icon on Flightrader24; therefor, you would not know it was a Chinook unless you tapped on the plane icon. The only reason I tapped on the aeroplane icon is because I noticed the aircraft's circling of the area and knew this wasn't normal. I hope that everyone near the South Downs National Park was safe and well, and there was no serious threat to the area or its visitors. Stay safe and healthy, everyone.

  • UK: Should you signal when changing lanes?

You should always turn your indicator on before you change lanes in the United Kingdom, according to The Highway Code. You should always signal your intentions when changing lanes to avoid confusing other road users. Doing this will make you a safer driver. When drivers don't signal when changing lanes, they are at a greater risk of causing a collision. This is because failing to signal when changing lanes is likely to confuse other drivers, making bad drivers' habit unsafe. Drivers should check their mirrors before signalling when changing lanes. This is to make sure there are no cars obstructing the driver who wishes to change lanes. If you don't signal when changing lanes and a police officer sees this, they are likely to pull your vehicle over and tell you to indicate.

Thick grey clouds are expected to form overnight with a fifty-fifty chance of frosts hitting the town tonight. This means gardeners should be protecting their plants, and farmers should be protecting their livestock/animals. Tonight is expected to be warmer than usual with the lowest expected temperature being 9°C. Hopefully, tomorrow will be a nicer day. No showers are expected tonight; however, there is a high chance of frosts hitting the town tonight, meaning gardeners and farmers should protect their plants and/or livestock from the cold weather conditions. The minimum temperature the town may drop to tonight is -4°C. This means tonight will be a chilly night. I would like to thank the Met Office for their information which helped me write this article.

  • Life: I managed to photograph planes today

This morning's cloudless and clear weather has allowed me to get some stunning pictures of aeroplanes. I — Dwayne Hards, LCN's founder and an independent journalist, a 14-year-old boy, and a keen plane spotter/photographer — enjoy plane spotting and photographing aeroplanes up in the clear blue sky because the hobby makes me feel calm, relaxed, and less anxious. Over the past couple of days, I have been unable to take photos of aeroplanes amid the dark cloudy weather, and I can only see planes when the skies are clear enough because they usually fly above the clouds. However, I am now taking photos of aeroplanes again as the weather is becoming clearer, allowing me to continue with my hobby. Plane spotting is a great hobby for people who are interested in aeroplanes, airports, aircrafts, helicopters, and/or photography. Littlehampton is a great place to take photos of planes because our town is about 40 miles away from Gatwick Airport, according to Google Maps. This means aeroplanes are constantly flying over the town's airspace. The best place to take pictures of aeroplanes in Littlehampton is the seafront because there isn't any tall buildings that can obstruct your plane spotting; however, clouds may prevent you from seeing planes. If you are interested in viewing some of my pictures of aeroplanes, please email me.

Today is expected to be a cold day. The highest expected temperature the town may reach today is only 8°C, meaning beachgoers should be wearing warm clothing and a coat, not summer clothes. Constant rain is expected to batter the town tonight with a high chance of frosts. Tonight is reported to be freezing cold with the lowest temperature being -1°C, meaning farmers' livestock and gardeners' plants should be protected from the bad weather. • Life: I couldn't see any planes today

I — Dwayne Hards, LCN's founder and an independent journalist, a 14-year-old boy, and a keen plane spotter/photographer — could not see or photograph any aeroplanes today because of the dark cloudy skies. I love plane spotting, and I regularly take my camera outside to get some stunning photos of aeroplanes and other flying objects in the sky. However, because of today's cloudy weather, I couldn't even see any aeroplanes; therefor, I certainly wasn't able to get any pictures of them. I was hoping that tomorrow would be a nice sunny day with bright blue skies; however, according to the Met Office, this is not likely to be the case because there is a high likelihood of heavy rain and dark grey clouds with only occasional sunny spells tomorrow, meaning I probably won't be able to get any photos of aeroplanes. I am looking forward to the return of the clear blue skies and nice weather so that I can start plane spotting again. Unfortunately, I can't see most aeroplanes when the skies are cloudy. If you are interested in viewing some more of my photos of aircrafts, please do contact me by emailing my own specific LCN email address; to do this, please click here.

  • Dwayne Hards (LCN's Founder): A little about myself & conditions and my dreams for my future

Here is some information about Dwayne and his mental health. Dwayne Hards is the founder of LCN and has the last say in relation to decisions made on the LCN website. Dwayne Hards is very privileged to be the founder of LCN. Dwayne Hards has the power to ban/suspend accounts on LCN's social media site, review contracts, create/block civil procedures (policies), and suspend any articles, decisions, or content on LCN News. All Civil Procedures and policies must be signed by the founder (Leader) of Littlehampton Community News. Dwayne Hards is an autistic teenager and has ADHD, Aggression & Mood Fluctuation Disorder, is aged 13, and is one of the lucky and privileged teenagers that has successfully founded their own news service. Dwayne Hards has volunteered at St John Ambulance from 2017 until 2019 since age he was a small and cute 9-year-old boy. Dwayne was a volunteer community responder who wanted the best state of health for everyone. Dwayne Hards has done online speeches about Autism and ADHD. He has also done online speeches about Mental Health statements to try and help those who have mental health issues or are interested in understanding them a little more. A Facebook and Twitter page was created for LCN and was released for the public. Our Twitter page is mainly used to slam and expose politicians, as well as retweeting tweets that meet our LCN standards. We also use our Twitter account for commenting on our news articles and to run polls. Some have called our Twitter Profile "the bias area" in a joking manor. Our Facebook page is used to promote our content, and it is also used for commenting on incidents and our articles. Dwayne Hards was a litter-picker, who cares for his community and the environment, while doing his best to encourage change. He has also done endless campaigning, attempting to solve issues that are possible to solve. He said: "Why don't the council do their job and take litter off the streets instead of fining small old ladies and vulnerable people for "littering". What do we pay fucking taxes for if you don't even clear the streets?! Do your jobs!" "I don't blame young people or the general public for the litter epidemic; in fact, I have no problem with people dropping rubbish. This is because it's local councils' job to take litter off the streets providing those who drop rubbish pay their taxes. I am strictly against fines for littering. Fortunately, these are never successfully dished out if people know how to react to civil enforcement goons (run or get on a bus; refuse to give your details while quickly getting away; and inform them that you feel harassed, alarmed, and/or distressed so that you have a civil or criminal case against them, making your 'offence' inadmissible in court). LCN does their best to prevent bias news; however, with political issues, we will try our best to deliver facts and not excessive opinion. We will also give all parties a say. DH: "It is a dream come true to have my very own news service and life that I have." I am a privileged autistic founder/independent journalist, and I will use this privilege responsibly and with great care." "I am honoured to be Littlehampton Community News's Leader. I vow my LCN will remain a safe, balanced, reliable, and honest/fact-checked site/paper. If you are unhappy with LCN's service, please email LCN's main email address, email.wcn.uk@gmail.com, or my official email address, official.leader.dwayne.hards.wcn.uk@gmail.com, and I will take appropriate action against the publisher if I feel there was any wrongdoing." "I will do my upmost to ensure that our community gets the most reliable, factual, honest, and impartial news on the Littlehampton Community News website/newspaper." I wish to continue with my newspaper and get into college and possibly even university. I have a few mental health conditions, including: ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder), AMFD (Aggression & Mood Fluctuation Disorder), ADHD ( Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), and Sleeping Difficulties. I take great passion in my garden; however, one phobia that I have is called Spheksophobia, which means a fear of wasps, and this made me anxious of being on my garden. I do not know what caused my fear; however, I am determined to overcome it, and I will not allow my phobia to ruin my future. Even if I have to wear a wasp suit, I will. I will not allow this to ruin my future. Update: My fear has improved by about 5/10.

  • Plane spotters struggle to see aeroplanes today

Today's cloudy weather has prevented plane spotters/photographers from seeing or photographing aircrafts in the skies of West and East Sussex. Aeroplanes in the skies of West and East Sussex could not be seen by plane spotters/photographers from down on the ground amid today's cloudy weather. This is because most of the planes were above the clouds, not below them. Aeroplanes could be heard flying in the sky, but they couldn't be seen from the ground. The weather made it impossible for me — Dwayne Hards, LCN's founder and an independent journalist, a 14-year-old boy, and a keen plane spotter/photographer — to take pictures of aeroplanes in the skies of my hometown, Littlehampton, earlier today amid the dark clouds in the sky, and I couldn't even see any planes flying up in the air; however, the odd aircraft that I did see appeared to be blurry and wasn't visible for long because of the dark clouds. Fewer aeroplanes were flying across West and East Sussex today and yesterday, according to Flightrader24. Less aeroplanes were coming from Gatwick Airport today and yesterday, meaning fewer planes were flying across Sussex over the past couple of days. However, the few aeroplanes that were flying across the county could not be seen today or yesterday amid the dark grey skies and cloudy weather. I, too, struggled to see any aeroplanes up in the skies because of the dark grey clouds. I would like to thank Flightrader24 for their amazing service which is helping me track aeroplanes and keep updated on the amount of aircrafts in the sky. If you are interested in becoming a plane spotter/photographer, Flightrader24 will keep you updated on the amount of aircrafts in the sky or near you, meaning you should not miss any planes. Please use Flightrader24 if you are interested in becoming a plane spotter/photographer.

  • Aggressive coach driver?

A coach driver - who was driving a Compass Travel coach - has allegedly blared his horn at a Stagecoach bus driver for something that wasn't his fault. The alleged incident happened on Chantryfield Road in Angmering, West Sussex, at around 9:18am this morning. A coach driver, who was driving a private Compass coach, allegedly acted aggressively towards a 9 Arundel bus driver and his passengers, blaring his horn and making offensive hand gestures, after he had no choice but to for wait for badly parked vehicles to move from a narrow road. This meant the coach driver had to wait for the bus in front of him; however, he did not like this, so he decided to react aggressively instead of simply waiting. None of this was the bus driver's fault; in fact, he reacted calmly and did the right thing by waiting patiently instead of risking an accident by trying to squeeze through a gap which was too small. Fortunately, there were no young children or babies on the bus at the time the alleged incident took place. However, if there had of been any young children or anxious passengers on the bus when the incident happened, they may have easily became severely distressed by the loud noise (beeping), meaning they would get upset and possibly kick off. The Arundel bus's passengers, mainly elderly, were discussing the alleged road rage, condemning the coach driver's behaviour. The alleged actions of the coach driver were classed as road rage and aggression, meaning he has committed road traffic offences. Hopefully, Stagecoach will report the coach driver to either the police or his boss.

  • Littlehampton: Today's weather update

Grey cloudy skies will likely remain for the rest of this morning with sunny spells expected this afternoon, according to the Met Office. Heavy and constant rain is expected this morning, so beachgoers should wear warm clothing and bring a coat with them. Today will likely be cold with the highest expected temperature being only 12°C. The weather may improve this afternoon; however, this is not guaranteed. Today is not the best time to head down to the seafront because of the poor weather. I am advising that farmers and gardeners protect their livestock, plants, and anything else that can be affected by harsh weather. I would like to thank the Met Office for their information which helped me write this article.

  • Fewer planes spotted in sky

Less aeroplanes have been flying over Littlehampton today, compared to the past few days. I — Dwayne Hards, LCN's founder and an independent journalist, aged 14 — have recently started a new hobby, plane spotting, and I have noticed that fewer aeroplanes than usual were flying across Littlehampton today. Many aeroplanes were, instead, flying across Portsmouth, Chichester, Worthing, and Brighton, according to Flightrader24. Many planes were technically supposed to fly over Littlehampton today, according to Flightrader24. However, some pilots decided to avoid flying across Littlehampton, choosing to fly over the town's surrounding areas, for some unknown reason. According to Flightrader24, fewer aeroplanes than usual were departing from Gatwick Airport this morning, meaning less planes would have been flying across West and East Sussex. Flights may have been delayed or cancelled because of today's foggy and cloudy weather. Less larger aircrafts, compared to the past few days, were flying over West and East Sussex today. Most of today's planes were small aeroplanes which came from private airports. To track aeroplanes, please visit Flightrader24's website.

  • Summer begins in Littlehampton

The reopening of summertime attractions and shops has seen thousands of residents and visitors flock to the seaside earlier today. The summertime attractions opened today. Thousands of beachgoers flocked to the seafront earlier today amid the warm summer weather and reopening of the summertime kiosks and attractions. The off-road train, which only runs along the seafront during the summer months, has started its journeys along the promenade again. Crowds of people were waiting in an enormous queue for their turn to use the train. The train was popular today with many people purchasing tickets and hopping aboard, enjoying a pleasant ride along the seafront. Many people stopped for some refreshments from our small businesses. After the difficult and challenging time we have all endured, please play your part by respecting yourself and others, and supporting our small businesses to help them with their recovery.
