Victor Thompson has been found guilty of sexual abuse towards a teenage girl, 13, after she helped him carry his shopping home. The man locked the girl in his house and began his sexual abuse towards her, saying "if you tell anyone, I will set you on fire". The thirteen year-old girl told police "that she didn't know whether she would make it out alive". The sexual abuse 'lasted for hours' in #Leeds according to an article published by National World. The judge, who sentenced Thompson, said: "The abuse was wicked, cruel, and brutal." Thompson was aided by the victim with his shopping, then he locked the girl inside his house and abused her. The man called his sickening actions "a mistake" despite him knowing that the girl was under the legal age of consent and she told him to 'stop'. The man was put behind bars for fourteen years, ten of those are said to be in custody. The attack happened on #April 18th, 2021. A prosecutor for the victim's case said: “The defendant appeared to be struggling, so she offered to help and take his shopping to his house nearby.” The victim walked into Thompson's home to drop off his shopping, however, he locked the door, and when she sat down, he started to kiss her despite her pleas to leave the abuser's home. The abuser also forced the underage girl to drink cider and offered her a cigarette. When the victim managed to escape, she flagged down a stranger for help and used his phone to dial 999 for the #police. The abuser was arrested shortly after the emergency call was made. The by passer said: "The girl was crying and appeared to be in shock."

  • Mini roundabout called for by Littlehampton drivers amidst 'confusion'

Some of Littlehampton's drivers have called for a mini roundabout amidst 'confusion' when people exit South Terrace onto Norfolk Road. Some Littlehampton drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists have reported feeling 'confused' about whether they should signal their intentions to other road users when exiting South Terrace onto Norfolk Road and said 'signalling right will confuse people because there is a junction to your right which means people will think you are turning into that road'. Some of these drivers, who reported feeling 'confused', said 'a mini roundabout will help other road users because it will allow vehicles to signal right and left without confusing cyclists, vehicles, or pedestrians'. When pedestrians cross the road off of Sea Road onto Norfolk Road and cars are going straight but signalling right, it can be confusing for pedestrians, motorists, and cyclists. Many drivers are debating the need to signal at Sea Road's junction amidst the 'confusion' it can cause.

  • Dwayne Hards: About my trip to the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth

I have decided to write a piece about my visit to the Spinnaker Tower in #Portsmouth because I really enjoyed myself at this tourist attraction. What is the Spinnaker Tower? The Spinnaker Tower is a tourist attraction, which is 170 metres tall and gives tourists the opportunity to view the surrounding areas, including Portsmouth Harbour, the Isle of Wight, and up to 23 miles further from the tower. The Spinnaker Tower also has a small café that can be used by anyone who fancies a bite to eat or something to drink, not just paying customers. The Spinnaker Tower also has a glass patch in the floor, allowing you to walk across or stand on it. You can see the base of the tower from the glass patch when you look down. The Spinnaker Tower is 170 metres tall according to the attraction's 'Souvenir Guidebook'. I found the Spinnaker Tower's customer service amazing because they were incredibly polite, showed their customers with respect, and were very helpful. I would happily go to the attraction again many more times. The Spinnaker Tower also currently accept compass cards. #SpinnakerTower

  • Car parked in Littlehampton bus stop for over a week

A blue BMW and a black Range Rover have been parked in a #Littlehampton bus stop during the day for over one week. The two cars have been parked in the same spot for around a week and the vehicles did not have a fixed penalty notice (FPN) displayed on their windscreen or any part of their vehicles. Parking on double yellow lines is a matter for the local authorities to enforce, not the #police. "As a general rule, you can't park on double yellow lines. Double yellow lines mean no waiting is allowed at any time. You can usually stop to load or unload, unless signs or road markings tell you otherwise," reports the Veygo Magazine. According to Brighton & Hove City Council, "you cannot park in a bus stop, only a bus can use a stop or stand". Dwayne Hards, #LCN's founder, said: "tougher enforcement is needed to end our parking issues in West #Sussex."

  • Awareness: Here's why you should think twice before you carry a knife

Carrying a knife or bladed article is a criminal offense across the whole of the United Kingdom and the consequences can be very serious for offenders caught with a blade. The number of deaths caused by knife crime every day in the United Kingdom has sparked intense fear in many members of the public because knives have destroyed many lives. If you are caught with a knife, you can be sentenced for up to four years imprisonment, face an unlimited fine, and will receive a criminal record. If you carry a knife, you risk being stabbed with your own weapon because when you take your knife out and point it at your opponent, they may take it away from you and use it against you. Suzanne Hedges, a mum of a now dead celebrity bodyguard, Ricky Hayden, has urged knife-carriers to 'ditch their knives because knives destroy lives'. Suzanne is 'devastated' at the loss of her son since she received 'the most disturbing call of her life' 7 minutes after her son was stabbed to death. Tommy Roome, Ricky's killer, was sentenced to fourteen years imprisonment for manslaughter.

  • Portsmouth: Usually busy bus station seen with only two buses

The Hard Interchange Bus & Coach Station has been seen with only two buses for around twenty minutes despite the service being one of #Portsmouth's busiest. The Hard Interchange was seen with only two buses for around twenty minutes despite the station usually being full of buses, tourists, locals, and coaches. It is, in my experience, a rare occurrence for this station to have only two buses for twenty minutes especially during the afternoon on a weekend.

  • Portsmouth: Gunwharf Quays Costa 'in a rush' amidst their high demand of customers

Gunwharf Quays #Costa were 'in a rush' at serving their customers amidst their high demand of customers. Costa's employees and baristas were serving a high number of customers today. When customers were forming a 'large' que outside the café this afternoon, Costa's busy cashiers were asking the questions before customers asked them, the first question asked was "eating in or taking away". When I was in Costa earlier, the baristas understandably made a small mistake, but amazingly fixed it straight away and with no hesitation. The mistake they made they made was putting coffee in my salted caramel & cream Frostino when I asked for one without coffee, however, the mistake was fixed immediately because they apologised and made me a new one. In my experience, I would rate Gunwharf Quays Costa a 10 out of 10 because their services were amazing given their level of customers, they fixed their minor mistake, and served me and their guests with respect. #Portsmouth #Hampshire

  • The Jurisdictionional Boundaries Procedure (JBP)

This policy exclusively applies to any of our services and does not apply to any other platforms. Different countries have different laws and regulations, and everyone knows this. And, although our reporters are unlikely to be reporting in other countries, they may still do so (on LCN) under this policy with only one exception: they follow the laws of whichever country/jurisdiction they happen to be in. For example, when any of our reporters are reporting in the UK, they must follow the laws of the UK; they must also abide by any slight legal differences in whichever part of the UK they happen to be in — England, Scotland, Wales, Jersey, or Northern Ireland. Our reporters must also follow any bylaws — such as leaving a council meeting when instructed to do so — of any counties, towns, or cities they happen to be in. LCN reporters must also abide by the journalism laws of other countries if they happen to be within their respective jurisdictions. Not only are our reporters legally obliged to follow the laws of the jurisdiction/area they happen to be in, they're also expected to do so under our own policy (JBP); failure to do so is a breach of our terms and may result in those in breach of the law being dismissed or sanctioned (if necessary).

  • Autistic Child's Parents 'livid' at Castle School for allowing him to run-away

The parents of an autistic child are 'livid' at Castle School for allowing him to run-away. Staff at Castle School have said "sorry" to the parents of Daniel Hankin, aged 9, and autistic, after a member of his 1-1 staff ,"who was abstracted from him by another pupil", allowed the child to run-away from their grounds. Castle School dialled 999, shortly after realising he wasn't around, and it took #police 25 minutes to find Daniel. Castle School said: “The pupil was out of school for a period of no longer than 25 minutes before being returned safely, and unharmed." "The trust, in agreement with Northumbria Police, and the Local Authority Designated Officer, conducted a thorough internal investigation to determine how the incident came to pass, and ensure any lessons are learnt to prevent anything like this from happening again in the future." “We are liaising with the child’s family, and have apologised for the distress that this event has undoubtedly caused.” Daniel's mum, Carol, said: “I really did trust them, but now I’m so anxious. My nerves are gone." "Every time the phone rings, and I see it’s the school, I worry that they’re going to say something has happened again. I’m terrified it could happen to another child. Anything could have happened to him, I could have been planning a funeral.” They didn’t ring us until after it had happened, after he was back. We should have been told straight away.”

  • The UK is brainwashed into 'accepting' the totalitarian 'restrictions', and why they must end

Citizens of the United Kingdom have accepted the totalitarian 'restrictions' for almost two years now despite them being considered authoritarian, totalitarian, unethical, unlawful, and unnecessary. The government's "measures" are wrongful because they are unlawful under article 8 of the human rights act, the universal declaration of human rights, #UK law, #European, and International law, they are also unethical. The #British public have accepted these wrongful 'restrictions' against our liberties for almost two years now, and whenever a riot, or protest is forming, the #police attack peaceful protestors, and the mainstream media coverup for the government, and police. The government have told lie, after lie, for example, saying that "vaccine passports were discriminatory, immoral, unlawful, and there were no plans to introduce them", but what did they do, they did them anyway despite saying they were 'immoral, and unlawful' in their own words. This government is breaking European, International, and UK law, as well as treaties by implementing these "lockdowns", and 'restrictions', and they have shown no interest in upholding our liberties, but worst of all, the public have accepted it as "safety measures". There should be no vaccine passports because they are discriminatory, they are discriminatory because venues will refuse service to certain people based on their own free will, and health. The "lockdown" has led to many suicides, and mental health emergencies, and cancer patients are being treated to late, as well as vital surgeries, and operations being delayed because of Boris Johnson's "lockdowns" being used as an excuse to refuse patients treatment. The 'restrictions' have also led to people being wrongfully discriminated against.

The solicitor in Brighton was seen having a heated go at the National Health Service, and the Police amid their unlawful injecting of children with an 'experimental' Covid-19 vaccination, and endangering children's freedoms, and health. The lawyer was telling the police "the law specifically states children under sixteen years of age cannot give their formal consent to experimental medical treatment, and that doing so violates their human rights, and the law". The solicitor told the police angrily that "injecting children is illegal, unlawful, immoral, and it's unethical, and you will be held responsible for what you are doing, and you will be held accountable for any breaches of the children's human rights, and any injuries, or deaths caused." The solicitor told the police that they are 'more than welcome to read the law, as this is the law', but the police refused to budge. The lawyer added: "And you don't care do you about the law, your just going to kill children, and breach their rights." • Why do teenagers smoke drugs, or tobacco?

Many teenagers across Great #Britain smoke either drugs, or tobacco, but why? Most of the teenagers who smoke drugs, and/or tobacco do so because they feel the need to 'fit in' with their peers. Teens who do drugs, drink, or smoke commonly do so because they are worried of being called a "neek". A 'neek' is a slang term, which means "nerd", teenagers are worried of being called a "nerd" if they don't do drugs, drink, or smoke. To stop teenage substance misuse, teenagers need to be educated on the risks of smoking, drinking, or taking substances, to ensure that they will not engage in such risky behaviours, effectively risking their own lives, and others as well. One good way we can prevent teenagers misusing substances, is, signing them up to art competitions, street art events, and even boxing, or any other type of sport, which will keep them entertained, but in a safe environment. "Parents should not control what friends their teens have because this is a form of parental control, and can cause them to want to rebel against their parents more than they originally intended, trust is key. Parents should only educate their teens openly on why they should not misuse substances, and have an open-relationship with their teenagers, without judging them," according to many scientific studies. On the other note, "parents should control their teenager's friends in a calm, and peaceful way, to ensure they don't slip into the wrong crowd", according to other studies. ________________________________________________________________________ Note: This article is for informational purposes only, and should not be read as advice, as every situation is different. • UK | Equality: Here's why the wearing face coverings is, and was, a personal choice

Face coverings were worn by many #British people, but, did they were them out of their own free will, or by government coercion, and control? Many people wore masks out of their own free will, but a high majority of citizens who used them did so "because they were mandatory". Many mask-wearers attempted to force the government's, and their own opinion onto anyone who disagreed with the "mandate" of mask-wearing. They attempted to tell people "if they did not wear a mask, they would be dealt with by retail staff, employees, or even the #police". People have the lawful right to choose as to whether they wish to wear a face covering, or not, and anyone who wears one is within their rights to without discrimination, as are people who don't choose to wear a mask. Anti-maskers have been known to force their views onto mask-wearers, and this is equally as bad as mask-wearers forcing their opinion onto people who have chosen not to wear a face covering. Everyone has the right to freedom of choice, freedom of opinion, and equality, whether they wear a face covering, or not. People should not wear a mask if they do not want to, and people should wear a mask if they feel that they want to (out if their own free will, not government coercion, or control). The government cannot legally dictate what people wear, especially in relation to health.

  • Why making false 999/112 emergency calls is always a bad idea

Recently, a #Worthing man admitted to making unnecessary, harassing, and false 999 "emergency" calls, this is why I, Dwayne Hards (#LCN's founder), has decided to write an article, explaining the risks of hoax-calling the emergency services. The most important reason hoax-calling the emergency services is dangerous is because when you dial 999/112, you are taking up the handler's vital time, and therefor, are risking other peoples health, safety, and lives, who need the emergency services, time. Hoax-calling emergency services is also a criminal offense, and doing so can see offenders hit with a fine of up to £5, 000, or six months in jail, according to West Midlands #Police. If you have called the emergency services by accident, you should explain this to them, or otherwise, if you hang up, they will think you are in danger, and will send the police out to you, which will waste their time for a real emergency.

  • Worthing man admits to making over a thousand false 999 calls

A #Worthing man has admitted to making over 1, 200 false 999 emergency calls to emergency dispatchers. These calls were made for "the man's personal enjoyment, and feelings", according to #Sussex #Police. The hoax-caller dialled 999, and falsely claimed to be an old lady, the man questioned emergency dispatchers in relation to their feet, according to police. The man, aged 45, named 'Richard William Cove', and based in Worthing, West Sussex, #UK, is awaiting his trial for 'making malicious communications', he is due to appear in court on 13th September, 2021. "Just one malicious, and false call puts lives at risk by diverting our attention, and resources away from people in genuine need of our help," said David Davis, who works for South East Coast Ambulance Service. The phone calls have caused emergency dispatchers quite some emotional distress.

  • Rightly So: Most countries 'laugh' at Boris, the Tories, and "Great" Britain

Many citizens, and leaders of different countries all over the globe have 'laughed' at Boris Johnson, the #Tories, and "Great" #Britain amid their ridiculous, and appalling management of the #UK. Some examples include, but are limited to, discriminatory #Covid-19 vaccine passports, unlawful Covid "Restrictions", corruption, a not-so-nice #Brexit, and the mainstream media's coverups on the government's law-breaking, as well as many other things they have done. The United Kingdom has become a kingdom of madness, tyranny, and has became a laughing stock. Many children are out of school, which is against international law (The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child). This is appalling, disturbing, and unbelievable how any government believes that stripping a child of their basic right to learn is ever "ok". Since the #Coronavirus pandemic began, the Conservative government have used this virus as an excuse to strip people of their basic civil liberties, and many of these "restrictions" don't even work against any virus, so why Covid-19? Parliament have also just gone along with all of the mayhem, blocking very few of the totalitarian Tory-laws.
